We are regathering on Sunday, June 14th at 10:15 am!
It’s been a long three months…
We’re grateful that no one in our congregation, as far as we know, has contracted the COVID19 virus. With government restrictions lifted, we will join together once again in our sanctuary on Sunday, June 14, at 10:15 am.
We are taking steps to ensure our service is as safe as possible for those in attendance.
Social Distancing and Face Masks
Most of us are longing for some good hugs!! That doesn’t fit into a world in a pandemic, so we’ll have to modify our greetings for now. We ask that all who attend exercise social distancing of at least six feet with anyone not in your family. Face masks are optional.
Limited Services, Use of Building, and Cleaning
At least for the summer, we will meet together only on Sunday mornings. Our Facebook livestream has been successful, and we will continue the Wednesday night Bible study @6:30 pm via Facebook Live on Pastor Shorey’s Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/bill.shorey Many have asked that the Sunday livestreams continue, so Pastor Shorey will be doing a livestream on Sunday evenings @6:30 pm, too.
For our gatherings, we don’t need as much space as we normally do. For now, we will use only the sanctuary, foyer, and two bathrooms by the sanctuary. Our building will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after services, following recommended protocols.
We’re staying flexible
We don’t know what the future looks like, but we’re keeping up with the latest information from other churches and church leaders, as well as local, state, and federal guidelines or mandates. We want to honor God with our faithfulness to meeting together, but we also want to use Godly wisdom in our decisions. If a fresh outbreak of the virus threatens our city, we will adapt.
Welcome, Hannah Rathel!
Most of you know that Neil Stephens took a position as chaplain at The Gardens at Calvary last month. We knew it was only a matter of time before he found a full-time job, and we are so happy for him and Rhonda. We’re grateful for the ways both Neil and Rhonda shared their many gifts with us while they were here.
The Lord has been gracious to us, though, in sending Hannah Rathel to lead us in worship! Hannah is a talented musician, singer, songwriter, and worship leader whose love for the Lord is clear. We are beyond grateful that she will guide us into His presence as we lift our hearts, hands, and voices to Him!
Let us know how we can pray
This has been a difficult time for our world, but we know that God is sovereign and that He loves us. When He allows difficulties in our lives, He is calling us to trust Him and learn from Him. He also calls us to pray for each other.
Let us know if we can help you in any way or pray for you about something specific. We love you all.
See you Sunday!!
