Hello Folks!
We are regathering at 10:15 on 13 September. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have tried to navigate the ever-changing stream of information regarding safety. For some in our congregation, the threat of the virus could not be overstated. If anything, we have chosen to err on the side of caution in seeking everyone’s best health interest.
During our time of quarantine, we have maintained a connection with our community and our church members through calls, texts, and online services. We are grateful that in so doing, the online portion has enabled us to reach into the lives of people we would never have known, apart from the necessity caused by this pandemic.
We also know that we, as God’s people, need to gather to worship. We need the encouragement brothers and sisters can bring. We need to be using our Sovereignly-given spiritual gifts to care for one another. We need to gather around God’s Word together. We need to pray together. We need to sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs together. We need to be a physical gathering of people to the testimony of our faith and obedience to Christ.
It’s Time to Regroup
We can do so while taking every reasonable safety precaution. We have enough space in our facility to social distance. We have our building professionally cleaned. We will wear face masks to help deter the spread of the virus.
But make no mistake—I need you and you need me. We need each other! By God’s grace, we will be together again on September 13 at 10:15. Let’s gather with rejoicing. Let’s gather to sing praises! Let’s gather to pray! Let’s gather to hear from God’s Word!
Pass the word along and bring a guest with you—there’s plenty of room to safely gather!

We are taking steps to ensure our service is as safe as possible for those in attendance.
Social Distancing and Face Masks
We ask that all who attend exercise social distancing of at least six feet with anyone not in your family. Face masks are required by local mandate as you move around the building. If you don’t have a mask, we will have them available as you enter the foyer.
Limited Services, Live-streaming, Use of Building, and Cleaning
For now, we will meet together only on Sunday mornings. Our Facebook livestream has been successful, and we will continue the Wednesday night Bible study @6:30 pm via Facebook Live on Pastor Shorey’s Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/bill.shorey To meet the needs of those who cannot be with us in person, Pastor Shorey will be doing a livestream on Sunday evenings @6:30 pm, too.
In regathering, we don’t need as much space as we normally do. For now, we will use only the sanctuary, foyer, and two bathrooms by the sanctuary. Our building will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after services, following recommended protocols.
Tithes and Offerings
Offerings have dropped off drastically over the course of the pandemic. With the added expense of the air conditioner repair, our resources are stretched thin.
We will have offering plates at the back of the sanctuary on Sunday mornings if you want to bring your tithes and offerings with you.
If you would like to send in your tithes and offerings, you can mail them to the church @ 2308 Hilton Avenue, Columbus, GA, 31906, or donate through our online giving: https://hiltonave.com/donations/ or click the button below:
